Dabke workshops!

Discover Dabke: a traditional group dance from the Middle East. Dabke literally means ‘to stomp’. It’s a dance that brings people together. No matter where you come from or what your (his)story is, you just meet up and shake hands. Explore this energetic dance at our Dabke workshops, organized by Bab-Ad Daar and VRIJDAG in de Buurt.

Starting from April 19, we will organize a total of 6 Dabke workshops in the neighborhoods of Lewenborg, Selwerd/Paddepoel, and the Oosterparkwijk. Together with Bab Ad-Daar*, you will learn the basics of Dabke. You will also learn more about the story and background of the dance. At the end of the workshops, you know how to dance the Dabke.
