The flugelhorn is a brass wind instrument with a warm and round sound. The instrument was invented by the inventor of the saxophone. You could therefore say that the flugelhorn is the saxophone's little brother. With the flugelhorn, you can make music in all kinds of genres, such as pop, jazz and classical. So it is not for nothing that the flugelhorn is a permanent member of wind orchestras, such as brass bands. But in a brass band, on the other hand, there is only one flugelhorn, which often plays a solo role. In short, a versatile instrument for both solo and ensemble playing!

At VRIJDAG you can take flugelhorn lessons on your own or in groups. You will be taught by an experienced teacher who regularly plays the flugelhorn in performances and concerts. So you learn the intricacies of flugelhorn playing from real performing musicians! There are flugelhorn lessons for all ages and levels. And whether you choose individual bugle lessons or want to play in an orchestra, there is always a course for you.

VRIJDAG also has many bands, ensembles, choirs and orchestras that you can join with your flugelhorn. Making music together with others is not only very sociable, but also educational. You are challenged to listen to each other and to dare to play solo. Don't have a flugelhorn of your own? Then you can hire one from us. Wondering if it is something for you? The first lesson is without obligation. You can cancel free of charge within three days of your first lesson. This does not apply to short courses (≤8 lessons).
