Do you want to discover why working with clay is so much fun? In this short course, you will learn a number of hand-building techniques to make your own bowls, dishes, flower pots, vases, or cups. Demonstrations will cover building with both Soft and Leather Hard rolled out slabs. We will also explore techniques for using molds, formers, and extrusions.
The pieces will be made during the first two lessons. Then there will be a week's break so that everything that has been made can dry and then be biscuit fired in a ceramic kiln.
The third and final lesson will focus on glazing. Bright, cheerful colors or calm, natural tones? There are many possibilities.
