Baritone lessons in Groningen
For all ages and levels
The baritone is a brass instrument with a full, round sound. The instrument is tuned in B-flat and can be compared to the tone of a baritone singer. Because you can play high and low tones on it, it is a versatile instrument. A baritone is therefore the instrument of choice for a brass band or fanfare orchestra. An average brass band often includes at least two baritones. But a baritone can also be a great addition to orchestras. Mahler's seventh symphony, for instance, begins with a solo of this instrument. And above all, playing the baritone is just great fun!
At VRIJDAG you can take baritone lessons on your own or in a group. You will be taught by an experienced teacher who regularly plays his or her baritone in performances and concerts. You will therefore learn the intricacies of baritone playing from real performing musicians! There are baritone lessons for all ages and levels. And whether you choose individual baritone lessons or want to play in an orchestra; there is always a course for you.
VRIJDAG also has many bands, ensembles, choirs and orchestras that you can join with your baritone. Making music together with others is not only very sociable, but also educational. You are challenged to listen well to each other and to dare to play solo. Don't have your own baritone? Then you can hire one from us. Wondering if it is something for you? The first lesson is without obligation. You can cancel free of charge within three days of your first lesson. This does not apply to short courses (≤8 lessons).
