Recorder lessons are ideal for getting acquainted with playing an instrument, but at the same time the recorder is a fully-fledged instrument. Although it is often used solo, it is an instrument par excellence for ensemble playing. Especially in Baroque music, it is a common instrument. But because the recorder has been around for centuries, much older and modern music has also been written for this instrument. So you can choose from a huge repertoire in all kinds of styles.
At VRIJDAG you can take recorder lessons on your own or in a group. You will be taught by an experienced teacher who regularly plays the recorder in performances and concerts. You will therefore learn the intricacies of recorder playing from real performing musicians! There are recorder lessons for all ages and levels. VRIJDAG also has many bands, ensembles, choirs and orchestras that you can join with your recorder.
